I have organised three very successful ladies business seminar in the past eight months with the feedback being very positive. I believe that there is a need however to keep ladies in contact in the interim between networking events and business seminars and that is why this blog was set up.
I would encourage you to keep in contact via this blog with other business ladies and to post links to your websites and other event.
Together we can acheive more!

Business Wellness
On Wednesday 21st July the buzz of ladies networking could be heard in the rural oasis of calm that is Grove Health Spa and Wellness Centre as Ballyhoura Development Ltd held a Business Wellness seminar. The ladies were welcomed with specially prepared organic hor d’oeuvres and refreshments. Tours of the spa took place before retiring to the Summer Kitchen which provided the relaxed, informal yet professional setting in the luxurious overall background of the Wellness Centre.
Jacqueline O’Farrell, proprietor, welcomed the ladies and provided an insightful background into her life that has been extremely enterprising and positively driven from childhood. It was clear to all present, the inspiration for the evening’s themes was clearly embodied in Jacqueline; that of an enterprising business lady, running customised Wellness programmes hosted by Bernadette Boohan in the beautiful Wellness surrounds and understanding the value of networking to full its potential.
The first guest speaker, Deirdre Downes, personal development trainer and life coach, proved a calming influence on de-stressing the ladies and spoke on ‘Making Every Day Great’ by taking a more positive approach to situations. She demonstrated the power of positive thinking on converting one volunteer lady from a fear of public speaking to a very confident, relaxed speaker who stood up in front of all present with a personal introduction. This truly was a delight to see. The next guest speaker, Gillian Horan of Business Consult spoke on the importance of work/ life balance and being well personally ensures business wellness. She drew from personal experience in her presentation which the ladies warmed to.
The three speakers though from various different backgrounds and life experiences acquiesced in the imperative belief of Business Wellness. The flow of the evening was warm, business like and encouraging. The positive energy from the group of over sixty ladies demonstrated that Business Wellness is alive and well in the ladies business community. Due to the overwhelming success of the night in the responses from the ladies present and also from feedback from previous seminars, Ballyhoura Development Ltd will be making this a more regular occurrence with ladies business seminars, blog and network details in the coming weeks.
